A Study Day/ workshop to explore creative ideas with Jilly Edwards
A film will be shown at the beginning of the day, showing the preparation and studio practice behind Jilly’s work. Following the film participants will go for a short walk to look, collect ideas, thoughts and ephemera. Then return to the workshop to discuss and make up a box about their journey.
This is a chance to explore a different kind of ‘sketchbook’ with fresh materials and thoughts and a chance to attempt to realise new ideas.
Jilly will bring her fascinating sketchbooks and participants will be encouraged to explore new ways to record and create.
The day will be informal to either start you on your creative journey or develop your present work.
Basic materials will be provided including segmented boxes, but do bring sketchbooks/journals/cameras/paints etc.
Will suit established and emerging artists.
Wear suitable clothing and footwear for a short walk
Tea, coffee and biscuits provided but bring your own lunch.
Jilly Edwards trained first at the West of England College of Art, Bristol, then at Edinburgh College of Art.
